Travel fees cover standard on-site service within the listed areas. Parking, tolls, and special access fees (if any) may be charged at cost.
Labour Rates

On-site labour is billed from arrival time. Minimum charge applies per visit.
Common Flat-Rate Services
- $50 — Diagnostic fee; minimum half-hour labour; bead blaster valve; air cylinders (turntable / tilt arm / assist arm); AC machine calibration; wheel balancer self-calibration; brake cable repair; minor adjustments.
- $100 — Motor switch; foot pedal valve; bead breaker cylinder; foot pedal spring; hoist safety cable; computer board / power board / touch panel; motor belt; tilt-back cylinder; turntable seal kit; AC maintenance (dryer filter & vacuum pump oil); gauge calibration; hoist limit switch; hoist power pack (electrical work not included).
- $150 — AC compressor; AC vacuum pump.
- $200 — Motor replacement; hoist hydraulic hose; hoist hydraulic cylinder.
- $250 — Rotation unit; turntable rotation valve; bead breaker cylinder seal kit replacement.
- $400 — Transmission box replacement.
- $500 — Wheel alignment machine calibration.
Parts are billed separately unless otherwise stated. Flat-rate items are for typical jobs; unusual conditions may require additional labour.
Warranty
Most equipment sold by Northern Auto Equipment & Tools / BDB MechanixPro Tools includes:
- 1-year warranty on eligible equipment (not all models; please refer to your receipt/invoice).
- 90-day warranty on tool boxes.
- 6-month warranty on replacement parts (unless otherwise stated).
This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship from the date the customer receives the product.
Warranty Exclusions
- Normal wear and tear items.
- Plastic components and cosmetic issues.
- Misuse, abuse, improper installation, or unauthorized modification.
- Lack of maintenance, corrosion, rust, or water damage.
- Damage caused by incorrect power supply, voltage, wiring, air supply, or air quality.
Maintenance Requirement
- Maintain oil in the lubricator (where applicable).
- Drain the water separator regularly.
- Lubricate moving parts as required.
- Keep equipment clean and in a suitable environment.
- Perform periodic checks to ensure components function properly.
Failure to perform routine maintenance may void warranty coverage.
Warranty Claims & Shipping
- Defective parts may require return for inspection, or photo/video proof before replacement is shipped.
- If confirmed defective, repair or replacement will be provided.
- If no defect is found, the customer is responsible for all shipping costs (both directions).
- Warranty shipments are via standard ground shipping. Expedited shipping is available at the customer’s expense.
Replacement parts/equipment do not extend or renew the original warranty period.
Installation
Installation service includes assembly and setup only.
Installation Does Not Include
- Electrical work, wiring, or permits.
- Air line installation or compressor setup.
- Oil/lubricants and consumables.
- Anchoring/bolting equipment to the floor unless explicitly included in writing.
Customer Responsibilities
- Proper electricity and air supply are available and meet equipment requirements.
- Safe, clean, and accessible installation site.
- Clear access path for delivery/installation.
If the site is not ready, additional trip charges may apply. Technicians may refuse service if the site is unsafe.
Damage or Missing Parts
- Inspect all equipment immediately upon delivery.
- Any visible shipping damage must be noted on the bill of lading at the time of delivery.
- Missing parts or incorrect items must be reported within 3 days of receipt.
Claims reported after 3 days may not be covered.
Authorized Returns
- Return requests must be submitted within 7 days of receiving the merchandise.
- All returns require prior authorization from our service team.
- Unauthorized returns will not be accepted.
- A 20% restocking fee applies to non-warranty returns.
- Customer is responsible for all shipping and return freight charges.
- Returned items must be in original condition with all packaging and accessories.
Refunds/credits are issued only after the product is received and inspected.
Refund Policy
Deposits are non-refundable.
If a payment is made as a deposit, it serves as security for performance of the purchase contract. If the buyer cancels the order or fails to complete the purchase, the deposit will not be returned.
Digital services (e.g., Autel update/activation services) are final sale once processing has started.
